I have been trying to dial the london number on zofor zone by phone for a few days now and have not been able to get through. has anyone else in the UK had any problems with it?
We've discontinued the london number due to onging problems and are looking at alternatives. In the mean time you can use the SJPhone computer program to access ZBP. Check www.zonebbs.com/phone/ for more information.
Chris, I hope seriously you will look at alternatives SJ phone isn't suitable for everyone, and while I have the ability to use any of the available numbers through my phone service, that in recent months has also proved incredibly difficult with both washington numbers working intermittantly, and I'm not the only one to find that, the iowa number has always been so, and the torronto number has been down for weeks now. It's reached a point where many are showing frustration and disalutionment at the service. I suggested a possible alternative to yourself and J many many monts ago, and nothing has been done. So please lets hope that you are able to sort something soon.
HI, i cant use sj phone at all since my sound card hates it and it makes everyone sound like darlics or worse, like totally ilegible! so i stopped using it. i'm curious though what other alternatives are there?

Nehemiah, my alternatives were to the london number or in adition to it, as 2 lines over here now has been making it tight. Quite a number of people have been using it, and other than a sip, 2 lines was making it often that others couldn't use it at all. It's sadreally after the support many of us give that voice chat for the site hasn't been quite what it used to be putting it mildly.
it seems to me that ever since vt went voice chat for the site has pretty much gone completely
Another alternative is literally going out and being WITH people...in the flesh...doing stuff together like eating, drinking, chatting, watchin tv ...anything the list is endless. All it needs is for 2 people to be in the same room as each other, in the same time zone, at the same time. It's great! Books have been written about it and everything. And you don't even have to call Toronto for it to happen!
Is that why you spend so much time on there either having, or trying to have phone sex Mat? because you find these alternatives so exciting?

Phoner! I tried SJ phone, x-lite, but didn't work.
Phoner is only program, which allows me to call zbp.
Setting up is easy, for numbers, I'm using windoweyes mouse, but they are said as buttons.

I've tried the english number and it's still not working at all. I've also tried to phone the washington number for zone by phone using skype, but it wouldn't accept my user id and phone pin, which I know are both correct. Site admins, hurry up. I'm bored of this now.
and that leads me to wonder, why are there two washington numbers, all of the things for the US are out west, can tyere try to be one for the east? like in boston or hartford or something so it's somewhat local? calling those numbers from a cell is annoying, especially when you break into your any time minutes to do that and you don't have that many minutes to begin with.

One is a d.c. number and one is a washington state number.

Yes, I am the same. I cant get on to zone by phone at all. I have got 3 phone messages waiting for me and I can get threw. I tried the London number. I haven't tried any other numbers because it would be tomuch money for my mobile phone.

yes you can hear them on the sight but not reply, delete or save.
i also will not ring the canada number as my mobile money would be taken up quickly.
I have no trouble getting through to Zone by phone only because I have unlimited calling to the US and Canada on my phone plan, but I can see how frustrating it must be for others not in these countries. I agree that something needs to be done about it, it's just hard to say what. I mean, even 800 numbers won't work in some countries, and also charge the owner of the number per minute. Sip phones are unreliable at best with any connection that is not extremely fast, or anyone who is on wireless. I could never get SJPhone to work on my connection, all it does is sit there and pretend to be connected while really no audio is being received. And as for skype... it has serious touch tone issues last time I checked, and I could never get it to work with my calling card, even though it has an 800 number. It just kept missing digits no matter how many times I dialed them. So unless they can get a UK number back (and hopefully one with more than 2 lines) I really don't know what would work. Oh, and as a side note, ICall which I believe someone mentioned earlier, now restricts your call length to five minutes unless you upgrade to the pro version, so that's pretty much out.
